Costa Brava and Andorra Xpress
A route designed for those who enjoy linking together coastal curves and mountain passes in just a few days. From the most iconic roads of the Costa Brava to the high-mountain landscapes of Andorra, this trip combines the Mediterranean, the Pyrenees, and some of the best roads for enjoying the ride under the SlowRiding philosophy.
Along the route, we’ll discover some of Catalonia’s most iconic landscapes: cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean, hidden coves, medieval villages, Pyrenean valleys, and roads that seem tailor-made for motorcycles. An intense and varied journey, perfect for a short getaway where each day offers completely different scenery.
An experience that proves you don’t have to cross half of Europe to find spectacular roads, top-notch cuisine, and some of the most attractive landscapes in Southern Europe.
Stages of the motorcycle tour through the Pyrenees
Stage 0. Barcelona
Participants will arrive in Barcelona and be welcomed at our facilities. After introductions and the distribution of materials, we will assign motorcycles. We’ll spend the afternoon getting to know each other, reviewing the route, and addressing any questions during the welcome briefing. This will be a relaxed opportunity to get acquainted before embarking on our adventure along the Costa Brava and through the Pyrenees the following day.
Stage 1. Barcelona – Figueres
We’ll start the route by leaving Barcelona behind and heading toward the spectacular Costa Brava. Our first major stop will be Tossa de Mar, before driving along the legendary coastal road to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, a series of curves and lookouts with the Mediterranean always in view. We’ll continue on to Llafranc, the Sant Sebastià Lighthouse, and Tamariu, discovering some of the most iconic coves and landscapes along the Catalan coast.
The route will continue through the charming medieval town of Pals and the Greco-Roman ruins of Empúries, before reaching the Bay of Roses and entering the Cap de Creus Natural Park. There we will visit Cadaqués and Portlligat, the small Mediterranean enclave linked to the figure of Salvador Dalí.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Peralada, famous for its castle and winemaking tradition, to end the day in Figueres, the artist’s hometown and gateway to the Catalan Pyrenees. An intense stage that combines some of the best coastal roads, history, culture, and unforgettable landscapes.
Stage 2. Figueres – Andorra
We’ll leave the Costa Brava behind and head inland toward the Pyrenees. The day will begin in Besalú, one of the best-preserved medieval towns on the Iberian Peninsula, before reaching the charming village of Beget via narrow, scenic roads. We’ll continue on to Camprodon, surrounded by mountains and forests, and keep climbing up the Freser Valley to Ribes de Freser.
The route will gain elevation toward Puigcerdà, the capital of La Cerdanya, before crossing the French border to tackle the spectacular Puymorens Pass. From there, we’ll head to Andorra via the Pas de la Casa, one of the most iconic entry points to the Principality.
The day will end in Andorra la Vella after an intense mountain stage, full of curves, alpine landscapes, and some of the most scenic passes in the Eastern Pyrenees. A day designed for pure driving pleasure.
Stage 3. Andorra – Barcelona
The final day will take us back to Barcelona along some of the most scenic roads in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees. We’ll leave Andorra and head toward La Seu d’Urgell before continuing on to Tuixent, enjoying mountain scenery and quiet roads that invite you to savor every curve. The route will continue to Sant Llorenç de Morunys, nestled in the heart of the Serra del Port del Comte, one of the most beautiful and least-traveled areas in Catalonia.
From there, we’ll head to Cardona, dominated by its impressive castle and historic salt mountain, before approaching one of the country’s greatest symbols: Montserrat. After a final stop to admire its spectacular rocky silhouette, we’ll begin our return to Barcelona.
We’re scheduled to arrive at noon, bringing this intense getaway to a close—a journey that combines the Mediterranean, the Pyrenees, and some of Catalonia’s best roads in just three days of driving.
